Sometimes we are afraid of being “alone” and may even dislike alone time. Here are some ways to “just be” and enjoy time alone:
- Change your mentality about “alone time”. Look at “alone time” as an opportunity to connect with yourself.
- Focus on your hobbies, things that bring you happiness, and ways to enjoy your own company.
- Try sitting quietly for 2 minutes. Do you start to fidget? Build up to 10 minutes of sitting and meditation over time. “Just be” in this position and watch your concentration and focus in other areas of your life improve.
